So it's not Pottery Barn

All right, so it's not Pottery Barn, but not bad!?! I think it turned out okay, it took a little longer then I wanted it too -but what doesn't? Christy and I got together and had a lot of fun making it!! If nothing else it was worth the fun we had! I really loved how our kids thought our crow in our basket was a penguin and a turkey- I thought it looked like a cute crow- I guess that is what I get for thinking. I think we might be crazy- we want to get started on a Christmas one in a few weeks! I hope no bats or pumpkins show up on the Christmas one- but who knows- KIDS! At the very least they were honest! Now all I have to do is find a better place to hang it!!

FIRST DATE!!!!

I can't believe I am writing about Carissa's first date!!! Yes, all you mothers of preschoolers- IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU TOO- BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!!!! Due to the lack of students of the male persuasion Carissa took it upon herself to find a date to homecoming. She asked Jed Harr, all 6 foot 7 of him!! (for all of you old timers in the Santa Clara 8th ward, remember when he was shorter!) Carissa said she felt short and she added that she doesn't feel that way very often!!! He was really sweet with her ! If I had the chance to hand pick a first date for Carissa it would have been Jed- he is a good boy and a real gentleman. I think they had a good time. NOT that I think they had THIS good of a time- but just think of the height potential of future children if they ever decided to get married.... IN LET'S SAY -... 10 YEARS!!!!! LOL!!!

I know it IS INSANE!!!

You don't have to tell me how CRAZY it is that my DOGS have a Halloween costume. . BUT it was WORTH EVERY PENNEY to laugh as hard as we ALL did. In fact, Carissa was crying. . . So YES I do intend to dress them up on Halloween just for my own SICK enjoyment! Don't Tink and Tiana look like they are enjoying it too? Go ahead and admit it! It is very cute and you probably laughed a little too!!

My Second Daughter!?!?!?

I don't know what got into them- but I couldn't resist taking a picture!!! I can't believe they let me take a picture of them!!! I was thinking. . . what will the future Mrs. Gourley think of this? If nothing else- it should be fun to put in the wedding video. Douglas what was Brianna's email address again?

It Started with our Nails!

It all started with doing their nails, and a little nourishment!! Carissa was so cute she started saying Thank you as they were doing their nails- maybe I should have stopped there?!!! NOT!

Princess Transformation in Progress!!

Dosen't their hair look beautiful!! I am so mad that I forgot my camera while they were getting their hair done! I know Kaya was ready to tell me to be quiet about forgetting my camera!!

A Feast for the Princesses!

Good enough to eat. . . MORE!

A Little Help from the Mice Please!

So you look really cute- but in this case we need a little help from Cinderella's mice. First, the bra and underware (grandma's idea!) Second, the shoes, okay so black didn't really go with the white dress. Third, the cute pink jewelry. Then. . .

My Dress!!

Carissa really wanted this dress! I think I did a good job fooling her into thinking another dress was for Andrea's sisters "cruise" and that she was just having fun when she tried this one on. (Thanks Andrea!!!) It fit her personality so well and she does look really cute in it!!!

Your Carriage awaits!

Your carriage awaits!!! Couldn't have planned it better if I tried- A WHITE LIMO!! It was so fun to see them get in- but I think it was more fun to watch Brenden and Andrew WANT to get in!!

Here we are!

Here we all are and Carissa finally knows what we were doing! I can finally stop avoiding the "we need to go see Cinderella" comment!

Is it hot out here?

Okay, so it was a little hot sitting and waiting for the show to start. Carissa commented that she was sweating! Molly and Kaya told her that Princesses don't sweat- but Carissa informed them that this princess does sweat!! How ladylike!!

Is she really that tall?

All fun things must come to an end- but in this case it might be fine to find a little air conditioning! It was so hot!! It was when we were leaving I heard my favorite comment about the Carissa. A father talking to his daughter, "Do you think she really is that tall?- "No, she has to have shoes under that dress!" No- she really is that tall and beautiful!!!

Someday my Prince will come?

What is a Cinderella story without the prince? Or in this case a frog prince!! Too bad the kiss didn't work- or as Molly would say," My frog is broken- can I get a new one?" No worries someday your prince will come! But for now- enjoy being sixteen! Happy Sweet Sixteen Carissa- I love you!
